WHAT DO YOU DO?

I integrate all levels of a creative production, in one piece.

I am a TV writer producer of on-air promos with broad expertise in the communication field of Latin America. Wondering what’s a promo? It’s the promotional material that advertises the shows, films and series you watch. The writer producer in this field equals a director of a movie. It’s a creative job that involves your input and direction of short format videos from its very first idea in pre-production to its final piece with graphic animation, editing and sound finishing. I first start by finding a theme to work around and write a promotional campaign. Once the scripts are ready, I record the voiceover. Then, I work with an editor and a graphic artist. Once the video is ready we work on the music and sound mixing. I integrate all levels of a creative production, in one piece.  And this is why I love my job. It’s challenging and it keeps me always busy working with new creative projects.

Another thing that I do is voiceovers. I have been the female official voice of MTV Latin America and Nickeoleon Latin America for four years. But my true passion resides in singing and composing songs.

Last and not least, I do English to Spanish / Spanish to English translations and subtitles of long format videos and trailers.

WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET WHERE YOU ARE NOW?

Originally from Buenos Aires, I moved to Miami where I’ve studied film production. Over the years I have managed to work as a writer producer with Nickelodeon, MTV, VH1, Cartoon Network, Directv, Disney Channel and the Food Network. I have also always done things that were important to me, like singing, writing lyrics, traveling and taking photos.

FOR OTHER PEOPLE IN YOUR FIELD, WHAT DO THEY USUALLY LACK?

Usually they lack a higher knowledge of the Spanish language and focus on a very narrow type of entertainment communication that reaches the cliché of a “latino image” only.  I am a lover of aesthetics and good content, no matter where it’s from.  And that’s why I love subtitling; therefore language has no barriers.

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?

I am now writing a show for the Food Network channel. Also, I am working on an international shooting campaign for Disney Channel Latin America, doing subtitles of trailers and series, writings and producing promos for multiple channels, and composing new songs.

WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?

Anything that is aesthetically beautiful. Good taste and aesthetics is my top priority in all aspects of life.

WE ARE ALL SLASHIES WITH MULTIPLE SKILLS, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD DO MORE OFTEN?

Songwriting. Singing. Creating music. Working on my image as a singer.

WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?

I’m actually doing very well right now, but I need to expand and find new people to work with that are available!

IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HOUR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?

Research and reach out to new clients.  I would like to have someone helping me with the time-consuming task of researching brands and people, and organizing the data to be available and easy to reach at any time.

LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?

Business is not the evil. I wish I could have understood that being an artist and a business woman is alright, from the very first day I started working.

IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?

If you had no prior investment capital, how would you get started and ideally move forward from a 9-5 job, to your ideal job?

WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

I’m looking for strong long lasting relationships. Annual projects.

WHAT IS YOUR IDEAL CLIENT?

Creative opportunities in writing, video production, singing, social media marketing promotion, voiceovers, translations and subtitles in Spanish. I’d love to promote businesses, shows, movies, and other creatives.

WHAT IS YOUR RATE?

I prefer to give a flat fee depending on the project. It is hard to put an hourly price to a creative process.

HOW SHOULD SOMEONE APPROACH YOU ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER?

Email! You can write me an email, with a brief introduction, the project, and your timeline.

You can also check my website to see the current work and contact me.

HOW DO YOU STAY CREATIVE?

Walking. Hiking. Traveling. Singing. Reading. Researching. Listening to music.
