The best thing to come out of this course for me was the feedback I received. I was so, so inspired by the attention to detail from Puno and felt so encouraged after hearing back from her after she reviewed my custom site! I felt more motivated than ever to inject EVEN MORE personality into my designing. I also gained better perspective on how to adjust my site to be more digestible and immersive for viewers.

The Graphic Design Course felt like an all-in-one wonderland: an online community and cohort of fellow students, a truly robust curriculum, and so many resources on how to revamp my entire process. The recruiter call and portfolio review process has been everything! Knowing what to share in a portfolio, what details recruiters are looking for, and how to better tell the story of each project in an efficient and engaging way is so instrumental. I now have a portfolio I'm proud of and a clearer idea of how to position myself when sharing my work.

I learned that I actually enjoy doing the reporting way more than I expected. I’ve always hated numbers lol, but seeing whether what I’m doing is working (or not working) is super interesting. I feel 100× more confident in my current job and in starting my own business.

I really valued having the opportunity to receive feedback and suggestions. As someone who wants to succeed in this new career journey, I found it incredibly encouraging and helpful to discover fresh ways to refine my ideas and grow, especially by learning from those with such rich experience in the field. The course gave me confidence in my abilities. Since it includes practical learning and real-world expectations, it makes me feel genuinely prepared and excited to showcase my work and put myself out there.

The course was super comprehensive and covered topics in a clear, organized sequence that was easy to understand. I started from having absolutely no clue how to tackle a graphic design project, to having my portfolio website up and running — with projects I worked on!

This course enabled me to get creative and find my voice as an aspiring copywriting/freelancer. I learned that I really enjoy using words to captivate an audience and evoke a particular feeling. I feel more confident in my copywriting abilities now, and I am excited to keep growing!

My advice for someone thinking about taking the course is be authentic and confident in your own work. Don’t compare yourself to others, everyone has their own strengths and you have yours. Always think of the positives and don’t let anything drag you down from pursuing the very best version of yourself. Most of all, enjoy the course and be your true creative self!

Puno’s teaching style and the course materials were beautifully designed, thoughtfully structured, and fun, making coding and website design feel approachable and exciting on a whole new level. I also enjoyed getting a chance to revisit and explore my design work, while receiving wonderful insights. It is really encouraging and inspiring to create in such a space. The course has given me a great opportunity to build my studio website and the confidence to expand on my creative career. I am also very grateful for the lovely community that I have had the chance to meet through ilovecreatives.

My advice to anyone trying to take the course is do it! It's worth it even if it takes time to finish. The discord is useful, the newsletters and community as a whole just makes you feel less alone <3 One good thing that came out of the course was it really helped anchor what I already know and where I have room for improvement. I'm more confident messing with css and offering a unique vision of a website!
