I love working with ethical, sustainable, zero waste and conscious businesses because I think it’s important to use your time and energy to be a force for good in the world and to help others do the same.
WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
I didn’t go the traditional route! I have always been adventurous/ follow your dreams type of person. I am originally from New Jersey and after graduating from Rutgers University with a BA in Sociology instead of getting a job right away in that particular field, I decided I wanted to explore the country instead.
I packed up my things and drove to Colorado. I feel in love with CO and got a job with an environmental protection agency. I loved the job! We knocked on doors in almost every area of Colorado educating people on environmental issues that were going on in the town and raising money. I really got to explore the state in an awesome way and learned heaps! This is when I made the transition to a vegetarian lifestyle because I learned that it was good for the environment and I have a soft heart for the beauty of mother nature so I was all in!
I eventually wound up moving to Hawaii because I wanted to learn how to live sustainably. I worked on an organic farm / meditation center for seven years. Yep, that's right seven years! It really molded me into the person I am today. It was a rigorous schedule but I loved it. It was there where I started learning how to design flyers and meditation cards for events that were happening on the farm.
I really enjoyed coming up with design concepts and bringing them to life and wanted to learn more and develop the skill. I invested in classes and learned visual design and web design and honed my skills over time!
Fast forward to the present I still live in Hawaii and am focusing on building Squarespace websites for sustainable and plant-based companies to help them bring their unique business personality to life.
How do you stand out in your field?
I am a people pleaser at heart and really like to serve people who are on a mission to do good for others, the environment and all living entities. It’s what gets me out of bed in the morning, so I really do bring an enthusiastic mindset to the table.
I really want my clients to have a nice experience working with me, so I only work with one client at a time, and put priority into making the onboarding and offboarding process easy and fun!
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
I am working on designing a Squarespace ecommerce shop for a micro-influencer here in Hawaii who has started her own surf bag company. I am also working on marketing my business through SEO and blogging strategies.
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?
I love minimal, elegant and artistic styles.

Branding and illustrations.
WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
I didn’t realize how difficult it is to market your business online. Help!! haha. I have never studied marketing, so it’s taking a lot of time and effort to learn these skills. On a positive note, I don’t mind learning marketing because I feel like I will be a more well-rounded web designer having done the work myself of getting my business out there, I can help others do the same.

I am super inspired by vegan entrepreneurs. I love their ideas, products, and vision for a peaceful and sustainable world. It truly amazes me how they work so hard to bring their ideas to life. I would be honored to play a small part in helping their business get out to the ethers.
