WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
I graduated from OCAD University with a Bachelors of Design, making valuable pit stops in ad agencies, design studios and corporate companies before breaking ground on my own design studio. I've worked with amazing brands such as Nike, Spotify, Four Seasons, Tokyo Smoke, Darling Magazine, GoLive HQ and many more.
I’m currently taking M Line Studio around the world! From Canada, to Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, New Zealand and now Australia! Living that digital nomad life is everything I could ever ask for!
How do you stand out in your field?
My breezy, cool vibe brings a refreshing approach to the usually stressful process of creating a brand and website. I have a super smooth 2 week design method that clients absolutely LOVE!
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
I'm currently working on a website for a cosmetic company in Australia and I'm also designing a magazine for super cool financial/lifestyle brand.
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?
My style is chill, good vibes, coastal, modern, and refreshing! But each client requires their own look and feel, and I'm totally down to create a design aesthetic that my client will fall in love with! Check out my portfolio.
WE ARE ALL SLASHIES WITH MULTIPLE SKILLS, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD DO MORE OFTEN?
My main love is branding and Squarespace website design! My favorite clients to work with are all about travel, fashion, design, eco-friendly products, beauty, art, empowerment, photography, the list goes on!
WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
My business is keeping really busy, and I love it, but I'm struggling with outsourcing. I need to get a virtual assistant and a list of trusted designers that I can send work to. So currently I need to expand and it's tricky to find the right people for the job.:)
IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?
Admin work! Sending invoices, on-boarding clients, tracking receipts, answering emails, assisting with digital marketing and social media management.
LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?
When I first graduated from Uni I landed my first design job at a boutique studio. Let's just say the boss was horrible and we didn't have HR. I would have told myself to leave that job ASAP because there are so many other wonderful jobs out there with amazing bosses!
IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?
I would LOVE to chat with the CEO of my favorite design studio and ask her "HOW"? How did she create such a thriving design biz that producing stunning work, as well as be an amazing mother and wife and still make time to swim in the ocean and enjoy her coffee on the beach. I'm all about learning the secrets to a healthy work/life balance, so you can truly enjoy this beautiful life to the fullest!
