Q What do you do?

I help creative professionals who struggle with confidence improve their productivity by organizing their digital life in Notion so they can do more of what they love.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I was happy working as a Designer at a content marketing agency, but I struggled with juggling the different expectations of my team, our clients, and all the content that I needed.

Because I wanted to feel capable of defending my work so I could level up my career, I started figuring out ways to organize ALL my work and step into every meeting ready to ask questions and move my projects forward.

A client from one of my meetings reached out seeking help on organizing her work, because she saw how much I seemed to love what I did. I worked with her 1:1 while continuing to share what I know and eventually started working with more clients.

I wanted to show people how committed I am to helping people organize their work, that I applied to be a Notion-certified consultant and passed using all the methods I teach my clients.

Now I get to help creative businesses and individuals organize their work in Notion and do more of the work that I love.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

I’m a cloud-loving creative who promotes a slow, and quiet life.

Just like how I approach my typography students and my personal art, I help my clients discover a singular, cohesive direction so they aren’t overwhelmed with their work.

Q What are you working on right now?

I’m developing the 2nd version of my 1:1 coaching program, Creative Flow Academy while working with two agencies on their Notion workspace.

I am in-between semesters right now, so I’m preparing to teach Typography to students who are pursuing a career in Art Direction.

I’m also working on typography-based paintings as I continue to develop my own personal style of art.

Q What’s your style?

I’m open to possibilities and face challenges with, “Let’s see what will happen if we try this…” which is an approach I share with my clients to help them solve problems.

I always shift focus to the ONE big idea or goal we are trying to achieve. If we make enough space for the most important thing in our lives, then we have opportunity to be flexible in other areas.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I'd like to continue working 1:1 with creatives to help them do more of the work they love.

I've been on the receiving end of implementing new tools and processes with only a video course with no personalized support and I've been the designer with no management guidance on how I can level up my creative career; they both suck.

There's nothing that brings me MORE joy than to Zoom-hover over someone while they confidently power through their creative process.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

Following up with people, especially clients and ESPECIALLY people who have shown interest but aren't officially clients yet. It can be scary to be the one to poke someone and be like, "Hey, would you still like to work with me?"

But I know that every time I do it, I consider it practice until I can get REALLY good at it.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Go through all my notes to get topics I can turn into content.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

"Hey Jenny, I see that you're crying. Don't worry about hiding it. But I want you to know that your emotions are a physical response to let you know what is important to you. Use it as a tool. Here's a tissue."

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I would like to talk to more library archivists on their approach to organizing assets in their collections. It's fascinating how they're able to keep things and eventually share them with others.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I'm looking for new clients who want to improve their productivity with Notion and would like to work with me 1-on-1.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

I help professionals who work in creative roles, who want to gain more confidence in defending and scoping your work so you can level up your creative career and do more of what you love.

I've helped my clients overcome challenges like finishing a portfolio site, organize ALL of their files on Dropbox, and going into their end-of-year review with confidence.

Q What is your rate?

It ranges from $150/hr for 60-minute sessions to my 90-day program of $1152. If you would like me to design the Notion Workspace for you, those projects start at $950.

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

You can book a call to see if we would be a good fit to work together at skyblue.link/cfa OR send me an email at studio@skybluejenny.com and we'll talk more!

Q Who is a creative you admire?

My friend Annie Wong has become my accountability partner for the past year is a storyteller that uses mixed-media and stop motion. She's so good she started teaching others how to do it too!
