Q What do you do?

I am a Graphic Designer based in New York City

I specialize in brand design, and I’m also at a place where I’m excited to collaborate with clients to create anything that either of us can imagine, whether that is branding or not.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

To figure out my passion for graphic design, it took experimenting with fashion and interior design to realize that communicating through visual graphics was the avenue for me. From then on, it’s been pursuing my education and learning a ton from beyond talented creatives. One of the hardest parts I’ve come across is believing in myself to pursue freelancing.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

When designing, whether it’s a personal or a client project, I always keep humanity in mind and the human experience. There is always a deeper meaning behind what I design, even if I’m the only one who knows.

Q What are you working on right now?

I am designing a brand identity for a personal trainer. The web design for this project is my focus right now, and I am experimenting with how interactive I want to make the website.

Q What’s your style?

I’m at a place where I’m experimenting and loving various design styles, so I would say my style is versatile.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I wish I could focus more on photography, specifically self-portraits. It has been a longgggg time since I’ve taken any self-portraits, yet I always have fun ideas stirring around in my head. I’ve grown a lot since I last took photos, so I’m curious about what I could create.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

I used to sketch for fun, but now I rarely sketch if it's not for a project. I have always benefited from getting whatever thoughts I have onto a page, whether it's nonsense or the start of a cool project. One of these days, I will get back to it.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

I would hire someone to turn off my computer at the “end” of my work day (after I save everything, ofc), so I can ensure I do other things I want to do that aren’t work-related.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

Without a doubt, I would time travel back to my teenage self and tell her to relax and have more fun. In high school, I fixated on being where I am now and while staying focused is great, I would explain to her the concept of "work-life balance".

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I’ve heard that time is an illusion, an abstraction, and while I grasp that idea, it is a very loose grasp. So, any expert on spacetime, let's talk.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I am looking for branding projects (including redesigns). Generally, I am pretty open to any type of project as long it suits me as a designer.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

My ideal client trusts my abilities and experience and is open to experimentation.

Q What is your rate?

The starting price for a brand design project is around $1,200 and can fluctuate based on certain specifications for a project. Generally, prices vary depending on the design project, and of course, before agreeing to a collaboration, prices are discussed :)
