Q What do you do?

I design and build Squarespace and Shopify websites that feel like communal spaces – invitational and intentional. Spaces that feel dwell-worthy, soft and warm with authenticity.

By centering your ideas, aspirations and values at the heart of the project, I’m able to custom-craft a website that nurtures every visitor and facilitates new connections. From florists and photographers, through to wellness studios and the creatively conscious – I promise to build you somewhere you belong.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

While living in Sydney and London, I built a 15-year career in graphic design and illustration before making my way back to my small hometown in Australia. I returned right as COVID hit, and with a bit of unexpected downtime, I binge-watched a Squarespace course, then dove into another focused on custom CSS and coding. That deep-dive into web design is what really shaped the work I do today. I rescued a greyhound, became a mother and, somewhere in between it all, created something for myself. Unhurried, kind and surrounded by quiet countryside, Failte Studio was brought to life.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

I stand out by making websites that actually feel like home. Warm, welcoming, and easy to live in, that’s what I aim for. With a background in design and a love for Squarespace and custom CSS, I build sites that are completely unique and grow with your business over time. For me, it’s not just about how a site looks, but how it feels calm, considered, and genuinely supportive of the people behind it.

Q What are you working on right now?

Right now I’m working on a few cool projects. I’m building an online store for a new Australian smudge stick brand, a photography website for a well-known wedding photographer (this one has me especially excited!), and a tourism site that’s full of custom features, including a complex map and directory. All pretty different! Which is what I love.

Q What’s your style?

I’d say my style is warm, calm, and welcoming, but still completely unique. I love clean, simple layouts with little touches like subtle animations or smooth transitions that make exploring a site feel effortless. My current personal project (not live yet - annoying! ) is a perfect example as it blends quiet, considered design with gentle motion, so the site feels alive and inviting without ever being over the top.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I’d really love to work with more charities. Last year I donated my services to a few greyhound rescue and adoption organisations, and it brought me so much joy to use my skills to help them. There’s something really special about creating websites that support causes you care about, and I’d love to do more of that.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

I would say finding the time to focus on marketing and growing my own business. There are so many things I could be doing, but client work always takes priority, so it keeps landing at the bottom of the To-Do list.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Manage my marketing and reply to my emails!

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

I wish I could of told myself in high school you don't need to worry if you don't go to university! Online courses are a thing in the future - just wait!

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I’d love to chat with someone about how to juggle being a full-time mum and a full-time web designer without losing my mind. Figuring out how to grow my business while still being present at home feels like a superpower I’d love some tips on.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I love building Squarespace websites for small businesses, but I’m also really keen to collaborate with other designers and handle the development side for them. Taking a design and bringing it to life is my happy place — I really enjoy the build process and working with creative minds to make sites that are both beautiful and functional.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

I love working with small businesses and creatives, but photographers are my favourite. They always have the best imagery, and I love building websites that let their work shine. I also enjoy clients who are happy to let me have a bit of fun with animations and really let my creativity run free.

Q What is your rate?

Single-page Squarespace websites start at $1,900 AUD. Full websites on Squarespace or Shopify typically range from $3,700–$10,000, depending on the number of pages and complexity of the build. I also offer design days for website refreshes. I’m happy to discuss options for solopreneurs, small businesses, and non-profits — my goal is to make great design accessible where I can.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Learning and experimenting on my own website. Plus imagination play with my toddler
