Q What do you do?
“I am a vintage collector and wardrobe stylist.”
My focus is sourcing one of a kind pieces and putting together looks, moods and solutions for my client’s wardrobe needs.
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
My first vintage store propelled me to start styling client’s on a more personal level and connected me to opportunities where I was hired to focus on a full looks and concepts for creative projects.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
My mother was a mid century collector, so my eye was trained from a young age to understand the principles of design. I studied fashion and art independently all of my life to learn more about different decades and antiquities.
Q What are you working on right now?
I love helping clients in Nashville with their wardrobe needs for performances, shoots, videos and appearances. Right now I’m renting out pieces from my vintage archived collection every season to a handful of musicians in Nashville.
Q What’s your style?
I love creating very decadent, glamorous, lush looks with the balance of a classic, clean and timeless feel. I am drawn to the quality of designer vintage and obsess over bold and bright prints and patterns. I like to over see that every detail is intentional and visually designed and customized to achieve my client’s looks and goals. I love florals and all things feminine or provocative.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I would really like to try styling and visual planning for weddings and brides. I love specializing in wardrobe for big moments like someone’s wedding day!
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Being a mom is at the top of my list! I have a ten year old daughter, a separate flea market business of ten years and we live in the country side, so it’s a challenge to find time to book all of my styling appointments.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
I would have them doing the cleaning, mending and archiving clothes!
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
I would’ve not let myself cut so many original vintage pieces to make them shorter when I was younger. I only wear long dresses now!
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I am always looking to gain more insight into the business side of things, as well as how to be the most efficient.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I would love to do more food styling jobs, work with brands who want to see their products on my clients, wardrobe consulting, creative directing and more!
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
I love dressing artists for their performances. I helped a friend and client who I adore, Sierra Ferrell, pick out a dress to wear at her Saturday night show at the Grand Ole Opry. She had full trust in me and it was amazing to see her on the big stage.
Q What is your rate?
My rates depend on the project, but I provide very affordable consulting rates per hour and have options to either rent or buy pieces from my collection each season.
