Q What do you do?

I help people and brands find their voice, sharpen their story, and say what they really mean. I’m an expert listener with an uncanny ability to hear between the lines—and give shape to the things people know deep down but can’t quite articulate.

My toolkit: language that resonates, strategy that makes sense, and stories that make people feel something.

I’m also the host of Can We Talk About This?—a podcast where wellness myths go to die and personal truths are reborn—and I’m currently developing my own microbiome product.

Whether it’s a brand, a business, or a big idea—I can bring it to life.

-Tone of Voice (my sweet spot)
-Brand Strategy
-Copywriting & editing
-Long & short-form content
-Creative development for film, TV, & beyond
-Pitch decks
-Sizzle reels
-Interviews

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I studied communications and graphic design, and started my copywriting career over a decade ago. I started out in New York in 2010 managing Trendland.com, and have since worked in-house at a hospitality CRM app and a men’s grooming brand that partnered with Jared Leto, worked with companies like MATTE Projects and Anonymous Content, and supported a wide range of early-stage start-ups. I've been published in Wallpaper Magazine, RUSSH Magazine, EST Magazine, Design Milk, and others.

I also created an original docu-series and partnered with Oscar-winning producer John Battsek (Searching for Sugarman, Beckham, The Deepest Breath, The Rescue, American Manhunt:Osama bin Laden) to pitch the project to Netflix while repped by WME.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

In a recent job interview, I was called a Swiss-army knife. I have a background in graphic design and writing and can straddle production, creative development, and storytelling. I can conceptualize and ideate but also execute.

Q What are you working on right now?

A microbiome powder & a podcast.

Q What’s your style?

I like to make beautiful things. Please watch the trailer for my television show Master of Atlas.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

Tone of Voice and Brand Story

Q What is frustrating you right now?

Sample testing and life's timeline! I refuse to make a product that doesn't actually help people. That means I have to test, test, test.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Social media, definitely.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

After a long and challenging health journey, I came out on the other side with a story to tell—and a deep knowing that I could help others. That was ten years ago, and if I could go back, I tell myself to trust my instincts.

I’d also tell myself to own my gifts, trust the timing of my life, stop fearing failure, and take up space without apology. A good story is always worth telling.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

That's exactly why I created my podcast. I am fascinated by mitochondrial and cellular health at the moment!

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

All kinds. Projects, retainers, in-house work. Creative pitches, strategy, tone of voice for new brands. I'm open and ready.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

I just worked with an incredible sister-duo starting a natural skincare brand. They totally trusted me to let me re-shape their idea. We ended up exactly where they didn't know they really wanted to go. That gave me so much joy. I love working with brands with honest things to say and people who make good things for the world.

Q: What is your rate?

Project fees vary by the scope of project and budget of the client, but typically range from $1,800-$10,000. Day rates also available.

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

Fill out my form on tara-lange.com or email taramlange@gmail.com with any important info. A scope of work would be great!

Q Who is a creative you admire?

Yaz ten Klooster sent me my last client and she does beautiful work.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Good tunes. Other people's stories.
