I’m currently making a career shift from a background in fashion to graphic design. While I’ve done some graphic design in some of my freelance work, I haven’t had any formal training. So, when I came across the Graphic Design Course, it felt like the perfect next step. Out of all the courses I looked at, ilovecreatives really stood out to me. I loved the projects created by past students and the work produced by ilovecreatives studio, which made me super excited to learn directly from Puno, Mindy, and Sarah.
I loved every part of the course, but my favourite part had to be Section 2, where we really dug into the design process—both strategically and creatively—to create our ✨dream✨ spec brand. Learning Puno's full process for building a strong brand identity, from doing a brand audit to delivering in-depth brand guidelines, was so helpful. It really strengthened my work and made me feel much more confident in creating branding—an area I’m excited to focus on more!
Go for it—I’m so glad I did! It covers so much, but it’s all broken down into really fun, easy-to-follow sections. I loved that it’s self-paced, so you can really take your time with it and experiment. Just make sure to set yourself little deadlines to keep up the momentum! + all the resources and the Discord community are available to you after you complete it, which is is a huge help!
One great thing that’s come out of the course is that it’s really boosted my confidence to start freelancing in graphic design! I feel much more prepared to take on branding projects and can’t wait to see where this new direction takes me. It’s also sparked a deeper interest in adding to my skillset as a designer—maybe motion graphics or web design will be next 👀
