Q What do you do?
I’m also considered to be a creator, usually making content around one of those skills. Whatever I’m doing, the through-line is enriching people’s lives through art and expression.
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
I wasn’t a fan of formal training so I would usually see or hear something I loved and just try my best to recreate it. Eventually I kept making the same mistakes, or kept doing tasks in weird way and those little mishaps ended up helping me gain a unique taste and style. I’m also a big advocate for using technology to assist you, regardless if the medium.
The best teacher will always be your curiosity to grow, get better, learn, and make mistakes. Rinse and repeat.
Q: How do you stand out in your field?
By staying unique. If you’re the only one in your lane you’ll never be late, you’ll never run into traffic, and you’ll never crash.
As a musician, I always just make what I wanna make and say what I wanna say.
For RUXWOOD, we’re really intentional about enriching people’s lifestyle and not overselling, which I think naturally encourages empowers our community to purchase items on their own accord.
Delilah Pistol has always had a very specific design style that we’ve proudly coined as elevated analog. There’s an appreciation for minimalism, callbacks to classic print, and subtle surprise and delight that doesn’t feel too modern or nonsensical.
Q What are you working on right now?
I’m currently working on a dance project, launching our sensual journaling app for RUXWOOD called BLACKBOOK, and a website portfolio for a physical artist.
Q What’s your style?
My music explores the dreamier, upbeat and more emotional side of my nature. Our work at RUXWOOD is the definition of elevated analog with minimalism, inclusivity and sensuality at the forefront, and Delilah Pistol has the same perspective as RUXWOOD, just swap sensuality for structure.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I just joined a bi-weekly queer line dancing class and I so badly wish I could just spend hours mastering and perfecting each of the routines. I think I have around 10-15 and I’d like to get closer to 30 before I feel satisfied ★
Q What is frustrating you right now?
For the past 4 years LA has felt like a weather scam. Before I moved here I was told the weather was a solid 70 degrees all year-round. What a lie that was! It’s been pretty chilly from October - April, which is not the fantasy I wanted. I was born and raised in Florida, so I’m really used to the boiling heat and I miss it so badly.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
Outreach! I do so many things it can be a challenge to grow them all at the same time and outreach is a really simple and impactful way of doing that. I’d also hire someone to help us expand our growing community at RUXWOOD with inspiring and helpful content.
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
I wish I could go back to 18 years old. I had so much of the right idea about how I wanted to look, how I wanted to learn about production, how to create brands, and even dating, but I just was a couple of tips away from making it all happen much sooner and much easier.
I didn’t have a mentor of any sort until I met Puno back in 2017, but in a way I’m glad it took that long and I initially did it the hard way. The longer road gave me so much of the gusto and flare I still have with me today.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
Hehe. I’d like to talk to an expert about AI an its societal impact, and what the future of our world will look like when everything is able to be automated with a sentence and a click.
We haven’t seen something like this since the creation of the internet, the creation of computers, or even the industrial revolution. People are scared for their jobs, which is valid, but I’m actually more interested about what new jobs will be created out of AI and what our society will look like as a whole. How will we operate? Will we still work? Will there be bigger gap between the rich and the poor? So many juicy questions!
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
As a musician I love partnering with brands as well as providing music for TV/Commercials. RUXWOOD is always open to chatting about investments, and Delilah Pistol loves to work with small brands that care about minimalism and a clear customer journey.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
Musically, the last time I filled this out my dream person to work with was Charli XCX and we actually got to connect because she was my mentor and when I won Billboard NXT. Manifestation at its finest. Right now I’d love to work with SZA or Rosalia.
For Delilah Pistol we usually love working with brands who appreciate simplicity and understand how difficult it can be to balance showing just the right amount of information.
Q What is your rate?
Music: My rates for recording, production, performing, content creation, and songwriting are super specific to the situation. The more specific in your ask, the easier we can tell you a rate.
RUXWOOD: Our products average around $40, which is super accessible for quality pieces in your life that are meant to last.
Delilah Pistol: Our projects usually range from $5-$20K, but we work out of that range all of the time depending on the client and the need. I always encourage people to reach out because we’re excellent at finding solutions that work with almost any budget. We’ve had clients who just thought they needed a link in bio, but it turned into a full fledged e-commerce juggernaut, and others who thought they needed full directories, but they really just needed a landing page.
Q How should someone approach you about working together?
An email with project details, deliverables, deadlines, and assets helps smooth the creation process before we even begin. Sending your budget is so great for me/us because I/we can already reply to you with what's possible and what's not within it. It just saves some time.

Q: who is a creative you admire?
Charlie Ann Max! She’s an iconic chef and model as well as a women’s rights and nude activist. She’s also incredibly kind, funny and insanely gorgeous with the best taste in everything. She’s also an absolute joy to work with and just hang out.
Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?
Smoke your heart out and have good sex!
