Victoria Wall Harris
Q What do you do?
“I’m a lifestyle, travel, food and beverage photographer and director based in Los Angeles.”
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
I studied photography in college and assisted for many years before venturing out on my own. I've since been shooting for amazing clients for 12+ years.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I love shooting brand narratives and I focus on capturing authentic moments and helping a brand tell a well rounded story.
Q What are you working on right now?
My latest clients include Starbucks, Klean Kanteen, Frank & Eileen and Zevia.
Q What’s your style?
I have a very Californian style, I love beautiful lighting and colorful scenery. Some of my travel work really captures the things I love to see and shoot.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I shoot stills and video for my clients in tandem and I love that excitment, but its also great to be able to focus on just one of those mediums.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Life is lifing! Politics! Drama! It can be hard to post my new work or market myself when there are a lot of important things happening all around us.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
I wouldn't mind someone to fold my kids laundry! maybe mine too.
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
I wish when I was starting out in my 20's I knew I would make it this far in the industry, because I spent a lot of time worrying I wouldnt.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I'd love to learn some different languages. I shot in Mexico City and it was such a thrill but I wanted to me able to communicate directly.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I am really open to a wide variety of stills and video projects. I love opportunities where I get to shoot people living life, and also projects where I can shoot a mixture of food, people, and lifestyle. I also specialize in on set stills alongside commercial productions.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
I loved shooting for Universal Studios - capturing kids and families in these incredible worlds was a real thrill. In that vein I'd love to shoot for Disney, or Visit California, or any other business in those genres.
Q: What is your rate?
My Rates vary greatly depending on the company size and the usage of the images. Rates start at $2500 per day and go up from there. I love working with a range of budgets and large and small companies.
